Invervary

Lovely day best day trip by far I went on the bus on my own I was there overnight in 2003 and I saw Campbell Castle and vowed to return one day. I  ran across a sign saying a man  named Niall  would do walking tours so went in to check he wasn't available so I agreed to check back after 3.
Jelly fish
I walked over to the water and out on a dock and someone was looking at some jelly fish and pointed them out to me I took some pics and managed to loose my camera lens as it fell off and over board into the water.

Campbell Castle

I went to the castle it was beautiful  and it was interesting to look around and there was one friendly guide so I asked him what the connection to the castle which is the home of the duke of Argyll and the clan Campbell and Campbeltown. as it turned out he  was from there so told him I was a Macca fan and we talked about PAUL he told me years ago his cousin was asked by   PAUL to water his parsley at his farm once a week.... well me knowing things figured it out the parsley was pot and he got caught but he got off. Of course I remember when this happened. I just love how the McCartney connections kick in.

tea and scones at the Castle

The gardens were okay there was not much is bloom yet and some of the "Rhodies" were already dead probably cos of the heat. I went to the tea shop and treated myself to cream tea and scones man lots of cream strolled around some more just relaxing. I walked back to town and ran into 2 woman sitting on a bench by the water so chatted quite awhile the one very chatty she told me Paul McCartney played Glasgow for the first time in 20 years I said I know I was there she said well was he any good and I said yes and she said sure you'd say that cos your a fan and seems she does not like him

The guide showed up he had to be at least 80 years as he told
me he has been married 55 year, he used to work at the Castle, he had a kilt  on he was grand nice slow walk and story telling tho he was a tad forgetful on some. I could not believe he was willing to do the walking tour with only one person, I gave him a nice big tip. Had a little dinner was not very hungry but had a sandwich and it was not too good some kind of sausage, I relaxed by the water till the bus came.

Off to Loch Lommond bonny bonny banks

Early morning start, hard to do  with going to bed at 1 am after seeing McCartney, had a  quick breki and then about a 20 min walk  to catch the tour. then took the tour of Loch Katrine well worth it was beautiful scenery and the boat ride was nice then it was off to Sterling Castle that was so worth the 8 pounds to get in, there was really  nothing to see with the palace part closed for renovation unreal they would charge that I should have just looked around town that looked more interesting.

We then stopped  at Loch Lomond it was nice  but not as good as I thought it would be, then again it  was a quick stop in just one area. Then we headed for Averfoyle to make a lunc stp and there was a man with some owls. I decided to pay 3.5o pounds to hold a owl  and have my photo taken, it helps feed the birds and take care of them. The one I choose was beautiful. I had a quick look around and had an ice cream.
All in all a nice outing and saw some nice scenery on the drive so glad I decided to go.

MACCA MAN

I did walk around Glasgow in the morning   I then went back to my room to cool down and change for the concert. I was to meet my friend Moira from Glasgow but missed her. I ran into Dan and his kids from the day before and pointed out the location of the train station to them.  I hung around and finally went over wound up on the same train/car so we chatted again. When I got there got my ticket and decided I was way too early but I was afraid of the line for the tickets, might be long. I went and had a ice cream. (always time for ice cream)

I decided to have a glass of wine before the show a first for me and then I was going back to potty again and we were not allowed back as the "artist" was due to arrive he went a different way in the end.

What can I say he still has it I was surprised how close 12th row center was and I was 2 seats off dead center and 90% I had a clear view. he liked my sign Your Music Heals My Soul he beamed away and I got an ok sign and he looked over a bit after that and did a point finger thing during Helter Skelter he was looking at me and was copying my hand motion. he was looking towards me during and I love her. really I had no one in front of me it pretty much clear view most of the time it was like we had direct contact.

I took loads of photos with my new Sony think I will have some good ones once I play with the lighting.  it was great to see him do 1985 oh mama oh and when he was at piano I had a perfect side view and when he played his multi color one he was dead in front on. oh Jasus oh they showed my sign on the screen during HeyJude and the guy in front of me took photos of it afterwards.

He did a loud hoot after Mull Kintrye he just let it rip like he could not help it he was beaming away photos to follow

Meeting Nessie

looking for Nessie See I found him

Breki was nice a woman from China wanted me to sit with her and have breakfast with her I did it was interesting conversation but I had such a little time had to rush to catch my tour bus and she was going back to China that day, so I would not see her again too bad would have loved to talk to her a bit more.

The trip to "Nessie" was good (Loch Ness) but so  many places I would have loved to stop but of course you can't we did stop a few places like Loch Lommon and Glen Coe got some good pics I think the weather was great and the cruise was nice I saw "Nessie" photos to follow the driver was crabby he kept getting mad a traffic and he was swearing a few times he no patience for any one on a bike or anyone who was Chinese he kept complaining about them and there were some on our bus that was so ignorant; he was constantly swearing. We made a stop at Loch Lomond Took the boat trip to see Loch Ness and also see Urquhart Castle. We were running too late to take the trip that stopped there.

Chances of Seeing Nessie

Urquhart Castle.

I met a guy on the tour (when I ran up to catch the tour bus I was wearing my All Shook Up tee shirt and he said your all shook up) who was going to see PAUL too and he was taking his 2 kids they were touring Europe for 3 weeks including a week in Corfu anyway we talked off and off and he took my pic when we made stops he always offered so that was good. I wish I had taken a photo of him and his kids. I had fish in chips at a Pitlochry at the end of the tour and walked around it was a pretty town.

another great weather day and I guess the same tomorrow so will go to Stirling castle an Loch Lomond for a cruise I will go to Inverary on my own Tuesday on the local bus I think I am in the time zone maybe ; taking it easy before the concert since MACCA can be tiring :)

Glasgow I am here

Cute rest stop area

I arrived into Manchester around 9 am. I had to take the train to the bus station in Manchester to catch the bus to Glasgow it was kind of gloomy out. I slept most of time on bus but did wake up and see it is pretty the rest stop area had a little pond with ducks and you could sit on a stone if you wanted it was full of people because it was gorgeous out. People were picnicking what a lovely spot.

I had my donner kabab tonight excellent a place right around the corner and also down a steep hill yikes walked quite a lot just to see whatever warm here. The bad part about this B and B is the walk from the bus station is about 20 mins but so up hill and the last block is Streets of San Francisco, up a hill I am in the University area.

I just booked my trip to loch ness in the morning so best get to bed even tho it is not 9 yet I am exhausted
