Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Malaga

Christmas Eve decided to do waterfront, I talked myself in to going on the  Huge Ferris Wheel mainly the views. I have this thing about Ferris wheels I hate being suspended up in a car wiggling back and forth.  It was worth the trip the views were great. I then took a ride around the harbor since it was such a beautiful day. I then walked around town again looking for a light meal and I choose tapas and sat outside and was entertained  by bunch of guys singing Christmas songs. They were quite entertaining the tapas was good could not be beat for price one euro a piece I  also had a sangria.  One of the guys came and talked to me awhile asking where I was from.

Christmas day breakfast was later than usual so the staff could come in later. I had a nice breakfast and then headed to the train station. I decided to go to Benalmadena as I had read about the Butterfly park the Mariposario de Benalmadena. I had found directions on line but apparently out dated as thatt bus from town no longer existed I started  to walk to try and find another bus that went there when I saw a bus coming towards me and I  saw the stop  listed.  A woman who I had asked about the bus made the driver wait for me. I was so lucky and he said he would tell me the stop.  I  arrived and visited the gardens and it was well worth the trip. There were so many butterflies  *read 1500 and such colors.  There was a spot where you could watch butterflies break out of their cocoons and it was fascinating to watch.

I had an ice cream on a waffle as the heat inside wore me down then I walked over to the Thai temple, they provide  the butterfly gardens. I looked around the temple and it was beautiful. I then caught the bus back to town and looked around and ate dinner at a Chinese restaurant.

BioParc zoo in Fuengirola

I decided to make to revisit Bio Parc zoo  in Fuengirola I caught the local train and I did have a little bit of trouble finding the zoo but found a cute little park to visit. This zoo is amazing.

Bioparc is  characterized  among other things, by its architectural designs called zoo-immersion which immerses the visitor in the environment of the animal. The whole park is designed to  surround those who walk through it in a recreation of the habitat where animals come from.

I  was so lucky to see the various monkeys  being fed and I spent "forever"  watching them have dinner. I was so enchanted by the baby Bomean orangutan.   OMG

I decided  to spend some time looking around the town and so glad as  they were set up for the Three Kings for the children to have  their  photo taken and were also given a free ticket to the zoo. I looked to see  Christmas lights before I headed back to my room in Malaga all and all an wonderful day.
